CALI will serve as a:
Research and Service Hub and Alliance Builder
CALI
will:
- Create and maintain research and information sharing relationships
with leading representatives of all stakeholder groups, including Assisted
Living communities and associations, caregivers, health and safety agencies and
authorities, related industries (e.g., healthcare, insurance), and other
research entities in academia and industry.
- Disseminate knowledge and
information via state of the art media, including a first-class website and
professionally produced publications.
- Provide consulting services that apply
research to solve specific, urgent problems.
- Host nationally and
internationally attended
conferences and symposiums.
Knowledge and Standards Authority
CALI will:
- Create a comprehensive set of standards that
address the building and equipping of assistive environments, and the
delivery of assistive services, within both dedicated facilities and
private residences. To create this integrated certification framework,
we will partner with the healthcare, life care, and building
industries and with testing and safety organizations and
agencies.
Market Solutions Incubator
CALI will:
- Focus on developing solutions, and on implementing
those solutions via commercially viable products, services, and industry
alliances.
- Join in advocacy efforts to promote changes
in government policies and industry practices that encourage
life-enhancing innovations in assisted living.
