CALI will become an internationally recognized authority in assisted living standards by implementing a single, comprehensive certification framework for assistive environments, products, services, and practices. We will accomplish this by developing domain expertise through our own and affiliated research, and through associations with healthcare, life care, and building industry leaders. We will work in close conjunction with the assisted living community and its caregivers, to insure that these standards truly meet their needs. We will also partner with authorities in health and safety standards and testing, including testing organizations, insurers, and government agencies and programs such as Medicare.

CALI is currently discussing relationships with the following standards and testing organizations:

American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)
Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA)
